SPINRAZA® Data Visualization - Charts and Graphs

While working as a Studio Artist at Evoke, I created a range of data visualizations for SPINRAZA, a pharmaceutical treatment designed to combat Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).

These infographics were created with a uniform look and feel that conformed to established brand guidelines. The culmination of this effort found use on SPINRAZA's patient and healthcare professional websites.

What Is SPINRAZA^®?

SMA is a genetic disorder that starts in the central nervous system (CNS) and affects all the muscles in the body. Due to the degenerative nature of the disease, people with SMA will experience a decline in muscle strength over time.

People with SMA can’t make enough SMN protein, the protein their motor neurons need to function, because they have a mutated or deleted survival motor neuron 1 (SMN1) gene. The gene they do have, SMN2, does not produce enough protein that motor neurons need to survive. That’s where SPINRAZA can help.

The charts I created served as visual aids showing clinical study information across various platforms. Specifically, these graphics play a pivotal roles on SPINRAZA's Consumer and Healthcare Professional Websites.

Deliverables

A variety of different charts, graphs, infographics, tables, and other visual representations were crafted to convey the extensive study data related to SPINRAZA and its therapeutic impact. Some were developed from the ground up, while others underwent a redesign process based on pre-existing graphics. Each of these graphic components followed a standard style that included a unified appearance and color palette that complemented SPINRAZA's branding standards.

The creation of varied chart styles and information proved to be a tough yet enjoyable creative venture. This project required me to use my full creative abilities, and I appreciated the accuracy and attention to detail it required.
